Offshore Project Manager

Job Summary
The Offshore Project Manager (OPM) is responsible during Project Execution. The Offshore Project Manager is responsible for safety of the team and provides the direction and leadership required to keep the project running smoothly and in line with the contractual requirements. The position has a role of offshore project fieldwork and office-based engineering and reporting.
Functions and duties
The duties assigned to Offshore Project Manager (OPM) will be varied; these will include but not be limited to the following:
- Pre-mobilisation preparations for fieldwork
- On site management of geotechnical investigations predominantly offshore
- Client interface during project fieldwork
- Implementation of contract and ensuring work performed meets specifications
- Issue of field generated operations and geotechnical reports
- Performance or approval of field based preliminary engineering analyses
- Creation of final engineering reports from office
- Performance of final geotechnical engineering including bearing capacity calculations, piled foundation design, liquefaction assessment and pile driving analyses
- Deal with day-to-day health and safety responsibilities including reporting of incidents, holding meetings and training and checking on permits to work, toolbox meetings, TOFS, OBS-card tracking.
- To take care of the health and safety of himself and of other persons who may be affected by his act or omission at work
- Responsible for the quality of service to internal and external clients including interested parties.
