Company Timeline
Silvretta & Joint Venture
Silvretta joined the fleet. A USD 100m Nordic bond strengthened long-term liquidity. A strategic joint venture was established in South Korea, and laboratory and office facilities were expanded to support sustained global delivery.
The business entered its next phase as a strengthened and
well-capitalised offshore geotechnical partner.
Fleet Expansion
Fleet capability expanded and was optimised across global operations. The Bristol laboratory achieved ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. ESG reporting was formalised, international entities were established and annual revenue surpassed USD 100 million, reinforcing operational and financial strength.
Vessels Aquired
Major vessel acquisitions, including Saentis and Speer, strengthened owned offshore capability. Five drillships operated worldwide as the business expanded into offshore renewables while maintaining a strong oil and gas presence across established markets.
Geoquip Marine Founded
Geoquip Marine was founded with a focused offshore geotechnical model. The GMTR120 deep-water drill was developed, and landmark projects were delivered in water depths to 1,200 metres across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
SAGE
Andrew Wright established SAGE, building specialist offshore geotechnical expertise through Thales Geosolutions and Fugro. Decades of marine investigation experience formed the technical foundations on which Geoquip Marine was later built.
